    Just 12 minutes away from Sydney by ferry, Taronga Zoo is a must-do for all wildlife lovers. Providing shelter to more than 4000 animals, at Taronga you can up-close to exotic wildlife including rare and endangered animals like the Western Lowland gorillas, sumatran tigers, kodiak bears, giraffes, chimpanzees and many more.

    Watch the stunning Flight Bird Show in the zoo’s amphitheatre. Between the nimble kites, coin-snatching galahs, a flock of six red-tailed black cockatoos and the Andean Condor- popular for its three-metre-long wings- you will have plenty to look out for here.

    Take part in more than 20 keeper talks. Catch the amazing Seal Show where Australian and Californian sea-lions and New Zealand fur-seals deftly perform amazing acts. Enjoy a special photo session with friendly koalas. Feed giraffes, koalas and even be a keeper for a day for the most amazing experience.

    Take the Sky Safari ride and enjoy breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour. Take a walk through Wild Asia, a complete Asian rainforest home to many forest creatures from the sleepy binturong to the agile fishing cat. Look out for the Malayan tapir and oriental small-clawed otters in the stream’s waters.

    The ferry departs from Wharf 2 at Circular Quay every 30 minutes. The zoo is just 12 minutes away from Circular Quay.

    The 247 via Military Road and Bradleys Head Road to Taronga Zoo can be caught from Wynyard - Stand A (Carrington St).
