A must for wine aficionados, the Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour takes you to boutique wineries in the Hunter Valley where you not only sip a wide range of wines, but also learn about the wine-making process. It is the most comprehensive wine tour, offered at a great price.
World acclaimed Australian wines and award winning regional foods from the vineyards of the rolling hills and valleys of the Hunter region, delight both the palate and the eye in this green and fertile land dotted with villages and over fifty wineries. Famous wine styles include semillon, shiraz, chardonnay, gewurztraminer, cabernet sauvignon and earthy pinot noirs.
The tour also gives you the opportunity to sample local made cheese at Hunter Valley Cheese Company. Enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch.
The Hunter Valley is just 2 hours drive North of Sydney but a million miles away from the stress of city living. The Valley is Australia's oldest and one of its greatest wine areas, though it produces only a tiny proportion of the country’s wines – about 2 per cent. First established more than 150 years ago, it is home to some 80 wineries ranging from famous labels to very small 'boutique' winemakers. The Hunter Valley is renowned for its full-bodied white wines, 'medium weight reds' and some excellent ports.
To begin your Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour, you will be picked up from your Sydney hotel in a mini coach and upon reaching Hunter Valley, you will cross the Hawkesbury River and enjoy magnificent views of this picturesque waterway.
